Frequently asked questions
How long does installation take?+
Magnetic trackers are ready in minutes. Hardwired devices take about 45–60 minutes at our Area 49 workshop or at your premises in Lilongwe.
Do you install outside Lilongwe?+
Yes. We travel to Blantyre, Mzuzu, Zomba and the districts for fleet installations. Travel costs are quoted upfront.
What happens if the vehicle leaves network coverage?+
The device stores positions offline and uploads the full trip as soon as it reconnects, so no journey is lost.
Can I cut the engine from my phone?+
Yes, on hardwired devices. Engine cut-off is only allowed when the vehicle is stationary or moving slowly, for safety.
Is my data private?+
Your tracking data sits in your own account on our secure Traccar platform. Only users you invite can see your vehicles.
